The face of Ramesses II, the most powerful pharaoh of the Nineteenth Dynasty of ancient Egypt, has been brought to light after 3200 Years with the help of modern scientific technology.
According to international media, the Pharaoh’s face was reconstructed using a 3D model in collaboration with scientists from Egypt and England.
Scientists have reduced the pharaoh’s age by about half a century after reconstructing his face to reveal the face of the era at the height of his rule.
Thus, this is the first scientific image of the pharaoh to come out with the help of modern technology, which has been created with the help of a computer tomography (CT) scan of his real skull. The 3D model of the pharaoh’s skull was created by Sahar Saleem of Cairo University who said the outcome had revealed a very handsome ruler.
She added, then we have a database of pre-modeled facial anatomy that we import and then alter to fit the skull. So we’re building the face, from the surface of the skull to the surface of the face, through the muscle structure, and the fat layers, and then finally the skin layer.
Further, she said we all have more or less the same muscles from the same origins with the same attachments. Sahar Saleem also said that the image of Pharaoh that came out with the help of technology was fascinating.
