Jamshoro (November 21, 2025) The 6 th meeting of the Syndicate of Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro
(SABS) University of Art, Design and Heritages, Jamshoro was held at Syndicate Hall, where major
academic, administrative, and policy decisions were discussed and approved.
The meeting was chaired by Vice-Chancellor SABS University Jamshoro, Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto
and attended by members including Higher Education Commission (HEC) Islamabad nominee,
Sulaiman Ahmed, Additional Secretary Universities & Boards Department, Government of Sindh,
Zainul Abideen, Sindh HEC nominee Nadira Panjwani, Persons of Eminence Marvi Mazhar,
Sameera Raja, Faryal Sikandar, Acting Registrar Muhammad Suleman Bhutto, Director Finance
Imran Noor, elected members Fazal Ellahi Khan, Uzma Arisar, Chander Kumar, and QEC Observer
Fahad Shams Nizamani.

During the meeting, the Syndicate reviewed and confirmed the minutes of its 5 th meeting held on
May 29, 2025, and assessed the actions taken on earlier decisions. The body also deliberated and
approved matters undertaken by the Vice-Chancellor since the previous Syndicate Meeting.
One of the major agenda points included the approval of recommendations presented by the 2 nd
Selection Board of the University, held on October 1, 2025. Additionally, the Syndicate discussed
nominations for representation on the University’s Selection Board, Finance & Planning Committee,
and Disciplinary Committee.
The resignation of Fahad Ali Khaskheli, Sub Engineer (BPS-16), effective from October 1, 2024,
was also taken up for consideration and decision.
The Syndicate further reviewed and approved the list of first ever successful batch of graduates of
SABS University of the Academic Year 2020 and Calendar Year 2024 from the Faculty of Visual
Arts & Architecture, including merit positions and medal recipients.
Another key item was the authorization to engage legal counsel on a case-to-case basis to support the
University in legal matters as needed.
The meeting concluded with several important resolutions aimed at strengthening academic
governance, administrative efficiency, and institutional planning at SABS University, Jamshoro.
