Jamshoro (August 12, 2025): In a heartfelt tribute to Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day and the
recent national success of Operation Bunyanul Marsoos, Marka-e-Haq, Shaheed Allah Buksh
Soomro (SABS) University of Art, Design & Heritages, Jamshoro, launched a large-scale plantation
drive on campus.
The initiative was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto, who planted the first
sapling, marking the beginning of a green campaign aimed at promoting sustainability and national
pride. The plantation drive is part of the university’s broader effort to contribute to a “Greener
Campus, Greener Pakistan” while celebrating national unity and resilience.

The campaign was led by Incharge Horticulture and Beautification, SABS University Jamshoro,
Muhammad Yousif Soomro. A variety of indigenous and ornamental trees were planted during the
drive, including: Mango, Chiku, Guava, Jaman, Grate fruit, Lemon and Murberry.
Faculty members, students, and staff participated enthusiastically in the event, reflecting a strong
spirit of patriotism and commitment to environmental stewardship.
