Jamshoro (February 25, 2026): Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro (SABS) University of Art, Design and Heritages Jamshoro distributed 37 laptops among students of various batches and departments under the Prime Minister's National Laptop Program in a ceremony held at the university campus.
According to details shared by the Super Focal Person of the scheme at SABS University Jamshoro, Mansoor Ali Shar, the laptops were awarded to 11 students of Architecture, 8 students of Fine Art, 6 students of Communication Design, 2 students of Interior Design, 4 students of Fashion Design, and 6 students of Textile Design.







The distribution ceremony was attended by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto, members of the Senate, chairpersons of various departments, and university officials. The Vice-Chancellor, along with Senate members and chairpersons, personally handed over the laptops to the selected students.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor appreciated the initiative of the Prime Minister’s National Laptop Program, stating that the provision of laptops would enhance students’ research capabilities, digital skills, and academic performance. She encouraged the students to utilize the laptops effectively for learning, innovation, and creative projects in their respective fields.
The students expressed their gratitude to the government and university administration for providing them with the opportunity to benefit from the national initiative, terming it a valuable step towards promoting digital empowerment and academic excellence at the university.
