Karachi: The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Karachi successfully participated in the My Karachi – Oasis of Harmony Exhibition (6-8 February) by setting up three dedicated booths aimed at promoting Thai cuisine, Thai products, and Thailand’s tourism to the Pakistani public.
Through its vibrant and engaging presence, the Consulate showcased a range of imported Thai products, offering visitors an opportunity to experience authentic Thai quality. The displayed products were imported from Thailand by Pakistani companies including Polac, Suree, Razmin, Sohni Traders, and YC Cosmetics, with a special focus on Thai food items and consumer goods.
In addition to product displays, the Thai booths offered visitors a taste of Thailand through a selection of traditional Thai snacks. These included coconut jelly, papaya salad, crispy coconut wafers, and crispy noodles in sweet and sour sauce which attracted significant interest from visitors and received widespread appreciation for their unique flavors.

Speaking on the occasion, the Consul General of Thailand in Karachi highlighted the objectives of participating in the exhibition, stating:
“Our objectives of joining this year’s My Karachi event are, firstly, to participate and support Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry initiatives and activities; secondly, to display and promote Thai foods, Thai products, and Thailand as premier destination for Pakistanis. Our Pakistani friends who visit our booth will get a chance to experience Thailand through our delicious snacks prepared by our chefs.”
To further engage visitors, the Consulate organized multiple lucky draws throughout the exhibition, with winners receiving Thai souvenirs sponsored by Tourism Authority of Thailand and Thai Airways International Co., Ltd. A life-sized cut-out of a traditional Thai tuk-tuk was also installed at the booth, providing an interactive photo opportunity that proved especially popular among visitors and added to the festive atmosphere.
The Thai booths drew strong public interest, with many visitors expressing admiration for Thai snacks and products. The exhibition also served as a valuable platform for cultural exchange, allowing the Consulate’s team to engage with visitors, share information about Thailand, and promote Thai tourism. Visitors showed keen enthusiasm in learning more about Thailand’s culture, cuisine, and travel opportunities.
The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Karachi would like to express its sincere gratitude and highest appreciation to the Pak-Thai Friendship Association and Business Forum, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Thai Airways International Co., Ltd., and the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry for their valuable support and reaffirms its commitment to strengthening people-to-people ties, cultural understanding, and economic cooperation between Thailand and Pakistan.
