Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Prince and Princess of Wales, also sent their birthday wishes by retweeting the Royal Family’s message and adding their own: “Happy 40th Birthday to The Duke of Sussex!”
Harry and Meghan Markle, who left their royal roles in 2020, have been less connected with the royal family. The rift grew after the release of Harry’s memoir, “Spare,” in 2023. The couple, who live in California with their children Archie and Lilibet, still hold their royal titles.
