The National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA) will be staging an Urdu translation of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet; directed by Zia Mohyeddin and translated by Khalid Ahmed. The play will have a run of ten days, 17th till 26th of June (8 pm sharp), at Zia Mohyeddin Theatre, NAPA.
The cast features a mix of seasoned theatre performers and some new faces, with the titular characters being played by NAPA alumnus and currently enrolled students, Noreen Gulwani and Ali Sher. Other cast members include:
Fawad Khan, Bakhtawar Mazhar, Farhan Alam, Aqeel Ahmed, Zarqa Naz, Samhan Ghazi, Rahil Siddiqui, Amir Naqvi.
