Noor Ahmed Khan Vice Chairman UBG, Sindh has said that FPCCI’s presidential election in the year 2021 proved to be rigged with UBG’s presidential candidate Khalid Tawab. Depriving Khalid Tawab of FPCCI leadership is a total injustice. In the presidential election year 2021, Khalid Tawab, the presidential candidate of United Business Group got 178 votes and Nasser Hyatt Magoo, the presidential candidate of Businessmen Panel Group got 177 votes.
The biased Election Commission illegally sealed the envelope of the Pak-Afghan Chamber vote and released the unconfirmed result of equal votes of both the candidates which were also signed by the Election Commission and the Secretary Federation.
On the other hand, the Director-General Trade Organization has declared the two votes of Loralai Chamber collected in favor of Nasser Hyatt Magoo as illegal in his statement given in the Sindh High Court. In this regard, the Businessmen Panel Group had sought a stay order from the Sindh High Court to stay the decision of the regulator, which has been dismissed by the Honorable High Court as baseless. Therefore, there should be no further delay in this regard so that the confidence of the Pakistani business community in the relevant institutions can be restored.
Noor Ahmed said that Nasser Hyatt Magoo, the presidential candidate of the Businessmen’s Panel Group, should show moral courage and relinquish his illegal presidency. Because delay means injustice, it is tantamount to tarnishing the image of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Therefore, I demand the Director-General of Trade Organizations decide this case as soon as possible and issue a notification to the presidency of UBG Khalid Tawab.
