KARACHI – In the implementation of the directives of the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and in continued support of Qatar to the Pakistani government to combat the pandemic, and efforts of H.E Qatar Ambassador, a shipment of medical Aids sent by Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) arrived to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in support from the State of Qatar to Pakistan’s efforts in combating the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The Aid was delivered in coordination with the Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Karachi. The shipments were received by Pakistani health officials at the airport Friday morning.
On this occasion, HE Mishal M. Al-Ansari Consul General of the State of Qatar in Karachi said that the State of Qatar never neglected its humanitarian role towards brotherly countries when protecting the society internally from the threat of the virus.
His Excellency noted that the State of Qatar reiterated its solidarity with all friendly nations during the COVID-19 crisis, and dedicated all its capabilities to provide support. He highlighted that the State of Qatar, since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, provided urgent medical aid to 80 countries, in addition to other international institutions.
