PSQCA team cracked down against Illegal / Sub-Standards and Non-License Products were seized

As per directives of Director General, PSQCA Mr. Zainul Abedin, PSQCA team  cracked down against Illegal / Sub-Standards and Non-License Products were seized and  deshelf at the spot. During the crackdown launched by Conformity Assessment,

PSQCA Karachi Zone  against illegal production in the different Markets of Johar Chowrangi, Gulistan-e-Johar, Karachi. Inspectors of  the Authority collected samples of Banaspati, Cooking Oil / Edible Oils & other mandatory  products of different brands. The samples were tested on the spot and four (04) brands of  Cooking oil / Banaspati were found non-conforming against relevant PSS. During the  surveillance activity PSQCA team found Non-License products i.e.Wheat Floor of Bake Parlor  Brand, Fruit Drink of Maza Brand, Skimmed Milk of Dairy King Brand, Skin Powder of Black  Cat Brand, Skin Powder of Cool Brand, Skin Powder of Charlie Brand, Skin Powder of Prickly  Heat Brand, Skin Powder of Medora Brand, Skin Powder of Tibet Brand, Skin Powder of  OSEM Red Roses Brand, Skin Powder of OSEM Protocol Brand, Soap Prickly Heat Brand  were seized. Non-Coforming brands were removed and seized. Notices were issued to the  Manufacturers for recall of their product from market. All Stocks of Non Conformed, Non License Illegal Products were de-shelved & seized. Further actions will also be initiated as per  law. The Director General, PSQCA Zainul Abedin has said that strict measures will be taken against  the makers of illegal products and substandard items will not be tolerated in the market under  the orders of the Federal government. No pressure will be accepted in this regard. He urged the  officers to work honestly and commended them.
