CHITRAL: By Gul Hamaad Farooqi : A protest meeting was held in Chitral under the auspices of Tehreek Tahafuz Chitrali which was presided over by Alhaj Eidul Hussain. This public meeting was organized as a protest against the brutal murder of a Chitrali woman by stabbing her with an ax in lower Dir in jurisdiction of police station Rabbath.. Addressing the meeting, the speakers said that Yasmin Bibi, a daughter from Chitral, who was married to Shah Zareen in Lower Dir an Afghan refugee Khan Bahadur son of Nawab Khan living at Rabat killed here brutality , because of minor recurrence of the children.. Speakers said that the young children of this woman were orphaned. The people of the area took the body of this woman and placed it on the road and recorded their protest and raised their voice against this cruelty and brutality. They said that the Rabat police station filed a report under section 324 against the accused Khan Bahadur. Injured Yasmeen was taken to the hospital in an injured condition and she died as she could not bear the pain. According to reports, the Rabat police has arrested the accused Khan Bahadur, an Afghan migrant.
Naseerullah performed as stage secretary in the meeting. The former president of the Trade Union, Shabir Ahmed, Sharif Hussain, Naeem Anjum, President of Tehreek Tahafuzi Chitral, Al Haj Eidul Hussain, President of Awami National Party Chitral, Sifat Zareen, leader of Muslim League-N, Maulana Israruddin Al Hilal, Noor Ahmad, members of civil society also expressed their views. They also thanked the Rabat police for arresting the accused in a timely manner. They appealed to the Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court to give severe punishment to this brutal murderer so as to serve as an example to others. On this occasion, some political leaders expressed their concern that just as SSP Rao Anwar of Karachi was acquitted along with his colleagues in the murder case of Naqeebullah Mehsud,
Our representative tried to find out the details of the incident by talking to Jabeen Haji, the brother-in-law of the deceased in Rabat. He said that there was minor dispute between children of both parties and Khan Bahadr beating her son when Yasmeen came out to rescue her son , Khan Bahadur severely attacked on Yasmin with an Ax and injured her with successive blows, which later died due to the injuries. In this regard, Ihsan, SHO of Rabat police station, was also asked that section 324 is mentioned in the FIR, while this is a case of murder., he said that 302 was also added and the accused has been arrested and the police is investigating further this case. He said that the Rabat police is trying its best to punish the accused through the court so that such cruelty does not happen to another innocent person. He said that the victim has given a formal statement before her death in which she has named the accused and the dying declaration statement is legally considered as a very safe and strong document and legal evidence in any death case which is sufficient for death penalty.
