PROF. DR. KHALIL AHMED IBUPOTO VISITED THE OFFICE OF CHIEFCOORDINATOR NIDM, ISLAMABAD.

Khairpur – Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur paid a
visit of National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), Islamabad. A meeting was held with
the Chief Coordinator of the NIDM Mr. Tanveer Paracha. The matters of bilateral relations,
research and academic cooperation were reviewed. Both parties agreed to embark the future
triangle research between Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, National Institute of Disaster
Management (NIDM), Islamabad and Universities abroad. Research Projects on climate change
and challenges will be embarked jointly wherein the current strategies pertaining to disaster risk
reduction and management will be focused. It was resolved that seminars, training workshops
will be convened on different disaster management related issues and rehabilitation.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Syeda Maria Zaidi, Manager and Ms. Sana Noor, Deputy
Manager NIDM.
