Washington D.C. At the tech companies event in the White House on 4 March, President Trump lauded the
on-going military efforts on Iran War. Trump spoke to the executives that ‘we are doing very well on the war front’ on a 15 out of 10 scale.
He reiterated that “we are going to continue to do well. We have the greatest military in the world”. Trump stated that Iran was a ‘tremendous’ threat to the U.S. for many years. He said ‘forty seven years they have been killing our people all over the world.”
Trump’s comments came as the military conflict expanded, with a U.S. submarine sinking an Iranian warship off the coast of Sri Lanka and with new waves of blasts across the Middle East.
He further stated that “we are in a very strong position now” and Iran’s leadership is just ‘rapidly going’. Everybody that ‘seems to want to be a leader, they end up dead. It’s an amazing thing that’s taking place before your eyes because for 47 years we were pushed around” and this is what we shouldn’t have gone through.
In front of the tech bosses, Trump touted the military successes of his 1st term – in which he cited the killing of Soleimani and ‘rebuilding’ the U.S. Military on the path of readiness. Further, he retrospected that had he not terminated one of the worst deals ever made, the Obama nuclear deal – then Obama would have given everything to Iran, including a nuclear weapon – as it was a road to a nuclear weapon, then bad things could have happened four years ago.
Trump emphasized that if they had not attacked Iran, they would have done it to Israel and given the U.S. a shot if that was possible. He touted by stating “I think I can say – and you see it as well as I do – you see the tremendous progress that’s being made”.
Trump said to the tech executives that Iran’s missiles are being “wiped out rapidly”. Their launchers are being wiped out. They are attacking their neighbours, they are attacking – in some cases their allies, or not so long ago allies. It’s really a nation that was out of control and they would have used it on us if we let them, if we had waited any longer.
“Then the B-2s hit – and I use the word ‘obliterate’ because it really was, it was a complete obliteration of their nuclear potential and that set them back very, very seriously. If we didn’t hit within two weeks, they would have had a nuclear weapon. If we hadn’t done the B-2 attack a number of months ago, they would have a nuclear weapon and “when crazy people have nuclear weapons, bad things happen”.
Trump assured the tech company bosses that “we are in very good shape now. I want to let you know that and we are going to continue forward. But it’s a great display of military strength.”
Looking at some of the people in the room, both Senators and Congressmen and women, Trump stated that he is ‘very proud’ that we rebuilt our military during the first term and “we’re using it a little bit more than I thought we would have to.”
Trump again touted that the U.S has a wonderful relationship with the Venezuela President and their various representatives. The U.S. has taken out hundreds of millions of barrels of oil and that just not went into the benefit of the U.S. but Venezuela, too. Henceforth, Venezuela would be doing better than they have ever done before, better without Maduro Trump reiterated that “we will get a big piece of that and we’ll also make life wonderful for the people of Venezuela who have been very, very badly hit.”
Getting to Venezuela, Trump signals a comparative approach that if Venezuela people can do better in the era of post US military action on Maduro, then he is confident that “Iran people would be better off, once the U.S. takes back their country, only to give them back.”
