Karachi, September 14, 2025: The Intellects Club held its Pre-Launching Ceremony at Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi, where prominent figures from diverse sectors gathered to mark the beginning of this intellectual initiative.
The Master of Ceremony for the Pre-Launching Ceremony was conducted by Syed Kashif Rafi, Registrar & Director of Sustainability at ILMA University and Managing Director of Rapido. The ceremony commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran by Capt. Sajid Mehmood, followed by the National Anthem.
Patron-in-Chief of The Intellects Club, Rear Admiral (R) Tanveer Ahmed, opened the ceremony with a welcome address, outlining the vision of the Club to promote intellectual dialogue and collaboration. Founder Chairman Muhammad Hanif Khan and President Tufail Khan further shared the mission and strategic direction of the Club in their addresses.
Distinguished guest addresses were delivered by Dr. Ramesh Kumar, Member National Assembly (MNA) and Patron-in-Chief of the Pakistan Hindu Council, and Mr. Javed Alam Odho, (AIG) Karachi Police Chief, both of whom commended the initiative and its timely relevance for Pakistan’s intellectual and social development.
The event was graced by Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi, Commander Karachi (COMKAR), as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, he commended the initiative, highlighting its role in nurturing leadership and fostering knowledge-based development in the country.
The ceremony drew an impressive lineup of attendees. Among them were Dr. Farhan Essa, CEO Essa Diagnostics Laboratory; Sarfaraz Ahmed Khan, Country Head of Salman Corporation; Danish Aman, CEO Hafiz Tannery; Shahzad Sabir, CEO Anjar Wala Group; Aftab Imam, Director State Life; and Ms. Durdana Arshad, Chairperson Daewoo. Also present were Dr. Jahanzaib Khan, CEO Faizan Steel; Barrister Sarfaraz Maitlo, President High Court Bar Karachi; Dr. Khalid Shaikh, Chairman Sindh Health Care Commission; and Ms. Shahnaz Ramzi, CEO Starlinks PR, along with several other eminent corporate leaders, legal experts, and media personalities.
As a token of appreciation, souvenirs were distributed by the Chief Guest, the President, and the Founder Chairman of The Intellects Club.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Syed Zeshan Hashmi, Secretary General of The Intellects Club. The successful pre-launch marks the start of The Intellects Club’s journey as a platform dedicated to ideas, leadership, and innovation in Pakistan.
