Consul General of The Sultanate of Oman Mohammad Nasser Hamed Al Mabsali, I am privileged to have the honor to extend my congratulations and heartiest felicitations to His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq (May All Mighty Allah protect him) and extend my sincere thanks to the Government of Sindh Province and the friendly people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for their valuable cooperation and hospitality. The Sultanate of Oman celebrates the occasion of the glorious National Day, which falls on November 18th each year and we are proud to share with all of you the joy of this great occasion.
The world is facing a difficult time due to the crisis of Pandemic Corona COVID19 and we are all well aware that the Government of Islamic Republic of Pakistan and its people are working with utmost effort to eradicate this crisis and for this reason, it has been decided that the reception on the occasion of the National Day for the year 2021 will not be held, in order to participate in these efforts.
The Sultanate of Oman witnessed, during the era of the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said, (May Allah rest his soul in eternal peace) development in various fields of political, economic, cultural, health and social progress, and it continues under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq (May Allah protect him). Since assuming the reins of the government, he strives to achieve many goals, such as restructuring the state’s administrative mechanism to keep pace with Oman’s vision (2040), which all the segments of society participated in order to meet the aspirations of the Late His Majesty the Sultan Qaboos (May Allah Al Mighty support him).
The Sultanate’s future economic, social and cultural goals are for a more prosperous and developing Oman, as demonstrated by His Majesty the Sultan’s interest in tackling the pandemic Corona COVID19 by forming a supreme committee to discuss the mechanism of dealing with this virus and the developments resulting from its spread and the efforts made regionally and globally to counter this pandemic and to find solutions, proposals and recommendations.
His Majesty ordered the formation of committee to deal with the economic effects resulting from the spread of the virus COVID19 and in order to provide a decent living for the Omani Citizen and in light of economic developments a “Job Security” system law has also been issued, which aims to build an integrated national system for protection of Social Security and also ensures the protection of people with limited incomes.
H.M. the Sultan pays great attention to the education sector, the development of scientific research prospects, the application of environmental safety and pollution control, and the preservation of various ecosystems within the framework of the basic objectives of sustainable development, protection of wildlife, nature conservation, and practical preservation of renewable resources. On other hand His Majesty emphasizes that the freedom of opinion/expression is guaranteed within the limits of the law, and he emphasizes the vital role of women in building the nation, just like men in various fields.
His Majesty describes the youth as an inexhaustible wealth and resource of nations, also emphasizing that their needs must be addressed and that the building and development of nations is a public responsibility to which everyone is bound, and no one is excluded from playing the role, for each field and to the extent of one’s ability
His Majesty the Sultan (may al mighty Allah protect him) affirmed that the Sultanate of Oman will follow in the footsteps of the late Sultan with regard to the foreign policy based on peaceful coexistence between nations and peoples, good neighborliness, non-interference in the internal affairs of each other and respect for the sovereignty of states.
The Sultanate of Oman setup bridges of friendship, opening up prospects for cooperation and good relations with different countries according to policies and on foundation of mutual respect, and always stresses the importance of trade relations between countries, as it considers them the gateway to economic development and that trade cooperation and the exchange of commercial interests and benefits between countries is extremely important, as we live in a world of intertwined interests and trade policies.
The bilateral relations and the old ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan are distinguished, they enjoy the interest of the Sultanate of Oman and always seek to develop them in order to reach the common visions between the two countries in many areas of development cooperation, and the exchange of ideas in the fields of economy, science, technology, culture and investment promotion between the two countries.
The Sultanate of Oman is a beautiful and picturesque country with its natural environment, as it is characterized by ancient cultural heritage and the harmony of modern civilization beauty. We invite you to visit, enjoy and witness its beautiful nature.
