The Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) has proudly announces the acquisition of two secondhand Aframax crude oil tankers, M T Mardan, inducted in its fleet on August 3, 2022 and another vessel namely M T Sargodha will be inducted on August 11.
With the induction of these two vessels, PNSC’s carrying capacity will increase to 107,123 metric tons, which is the highest the corporation has achieved since its inception in 1979.
PNSC says the said acquisition will increase the employment opportunities for Pakistani seafarers and by employing these oil tankers the out flow of foreign exchange from the exchequer in the oil trade will reduce.
PNSC Chairman Rizwan Ahmed Sheikh has lauded the support and efforts of the corporation’s board of directors and management in making this task possible.
