The ruling coalition PML-N and PPP have agreed to contest the Punjab Assembly by-elections together.
Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz has called on PPP co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House Lahore.
During the meeting, the two leaders expressed their determination to work together against the undemocratic tactics of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
On this occasion, the political situation in the country, working relationship between PML-N and PPP was discussed and it was discussed to continue consultations.
The former president congratulated Hamza Shahbaz on assuming the post of Chief Minister of Punjab. The two leaders agreed to contest the Punjab Assembly by-elections jointly.
During the discussion, Hamza Shahbaz said that the alliance of PML-N and PPP is for the service of the people and consultations will continue to further improve the working relationship.
He said that they are one and will remain one in the journey of serving the people, PPP is an ally party, they will go along with it.
The Punjab Chief Minister further said that he considers politics as worship and is convinced of collective decisions, the unity of both the parties is for the people.
