Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Army Chief Asim Munir, former PM Imran Khan, Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai, religious scholar Mufti Taqi Usmani, and other notable Pakistanis have been featured in the 2025 edition of The Muslim 500: The World’s 500 Most Influential Muslims.

First published in 2009, The Muslim 500 is an annual publication by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center in Amman, Jordan. It highlights individuals who significantly influence the global Muslim community, whether culturally, ideologically, financially, politically, or in other impactful ways.

This year’s list includes prominent Pakistanis from diverse fields, including governance, military leadership, philanthropy, and other disciplines.

Regarding Shehbaz Sharif, the publication noted: “Shehbaz Sharif became the 24th Prime Minister of Pakistan in March 2024, after serving as the 23rd Prime Minister (2022–23) following a no-confidence motion against former Prime Minister Imran Khan.”

Army Chief General Asim Munir was also recognized, with the publication mentioning: “A descendant of a religious and scholarly family, Asim Munir is the first army chief in Pakistan’s history to be a Hafiz Qur’an. He previously served as the head of both of Pakistan’s premier military intelligence agencies.”
