Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi and various members of the Assembly had separate meetings with Prime Minister Imran Khan, during which no-confidence motion, Islamabad meeting and other issues were discussed. Prime Minister Imran Khan said that action would be taken against those who betrayed the party.

Prime Minister Imran Khan was received in Bani Gala by Federal Ministers Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Ali Zaidi, Assembly members Ali Nawaz Awan, Rashid Shafiq and Kanwal Shozab among others. Political issues were discussed.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi briefed Prime Minister Imran Khan about his contacts with members of the Assembly. The MLAs also discussed constituency issues and provincial plans.

Talking to party leaders, the Prime Minister said that the government was fully aware of the plight of the people and steps were being taken to save them from the effects of inflation. He directed that the workers should be mobilized for success in the local body elections.

Imran Khan also vowed to thwart the no-confidence motion. He said that no-confidence motion would be thwarted and nothing would come of it.

The Prime Minister handed over the responsibility of hosting the D-Chowk rally to the Islamabad-based organization. He said that the rally would be held one day before the day of no-confidence motion and legal action would be taken against those who betrayed the party.

National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser said that our members of the National Assembly will never leave their leader and we will stand with our leader like a rock.

“Our allies and members of the National Assembly will stand with Prime Minister Imran Khan,” he added.

Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has formulated a strategy to deal with the opposition’s no-confidence motion and will bring it to light in due course.

He said that the opposition was playing a no-confidence motion only to protect its personal interests and wanted to divert the government’s attention from the real issues.

The Federal Minister said that the day of no-confidence motion would be very important when all the allied parties would openly stand in support of the present government.
