KARACHI – Plantation in the Banner of TREE LEGACY is to create awareness that except mone, plants are also a part of the property which made by us but their benefits pass generations to generations and secondly to make Environment happy and clean, this get initiated nationwide, inaugurated from Karachi, University of Karachi’s department Environmental studies.
HoD Ms. Omm e Hani made this inauguration, in this ceremony Dr. Waqar Ahmed, Dr. Amir Alamgir, DFO Mr. Irfan Sheikh (Divisional Forest Officer) his staff, Mr. Rizwan Jaffer(Chairman YOUTH PARLIAMENT), Ms. Sadaf Faryal Shah(Secretary of Environment), Mr. Paras Sunny(President Sindh) other members and university staff were also present.
About 159 plants got planted and 90 donated then at Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology plantation took place started with the hand of Engr. Syed Sarfraz Ali, Registrar – SSUET and almost 172 plants got planted, 345 donated to the university then at Preston University Malir Campus plantation being done, started with the hand of Mr. Khanzada-Campus Director where almost 176 plants got planted 72 donated. Till now almost 1221 plants being donated and the journey continues.
