KARACHI – In a gathering hosted by Hamza Tabani, CEO of Tabani Group, Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori
emphasized the critical need for collective efforts to combat hopelessness and anxiety plaguing the
youth of Pakistan. The dinner, held in honor of Faraz-ur-Rehman, President of Pakistan Business Group
Organization (PBGO) and Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), brought together prominent
figures such as Zubair Chhaya, Khalid Tawab and Akhtar Baig.
Governor Tessori commended Faraz-ur-Rehman’s dedicated service to KATI, noting that under his
leadership, the organization has gained recognition as one of the country’s leading trade bodies. Tessori,
who altered his schedule in the United States to attend the event, pledged his full support in addressing
the challenges faced by the business community.
Faraz-ur-Rehman, the founder President of PBGO, highlighted Karachi’s pivotal role in the nation’s
economy and expressed concern over the city not receiving its due share of development projects and
infrastructure improvements. President KATI underscored the importance of the SME sector for
economic development, calling for urgent attention to promote Pakistani products and industrialization.
Addressing the ongoing increase in gas prices, Faraz-ur-Rehman urged the government to prioritize and
swiftly resolve the gas-related challenges in consultation with the business community.
Zubair Chhaya, Deputy Patron-in-Chief of KATI, lauded Faraz-ur-Rehman’s efforts in addressing
industrialists’ concerns and expressed optimism about the continued success of PBGO in uniting the
business community.
Farhan-ur-Rehman, Patron-in-Chief of PBGO, outlined the organization’s mission to bring together global
leaders of the Pakistani business community for the economic development of Pakistan, aiming to
position the country as the Asian Tiger.
Khalid Tawab, a leader of the United Business Group (UBG), acknowledged Faraz-ur-Rehman’s vital role
in sustaining PBG’s momentum and expressed confidence in a successful election campaign with PBG’s
support in the upcoming federation election.
Dr. Ikhtiar Baig acknowledged PBGO as an effective global voice for the business community,
emphasizing its emerging role in advocating for business interests worldwide.
