Karachi : PASTIC Sub-Centre Karachi, in collaboration with the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET), organized a one-day seminar on “Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Health and Inclusion: Empowered Care and Communication” on October 28, 2025, at SSUET.
The event began with a welcome note by Ms. Afshan Tariq, Assistant Director, PASTIC Sub-Centre Karachi, who highlighted the importance of artificial intelligence in healthcare innovation and inclusive development. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Sidra Abid, Chairperson, Department of Biomedical Engineering, SSUET, for her valuable collaboration and support.

The resource persons included Dr. Hira Zahid, Chairperson, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Ziauddin University, and Engr. M. Jawad Shafiq, Senior Lecturer, SSUET. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Muhammad Amir, Dean, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, SSUET.
More than 150 participants from Ziauddin University, NED University, Aligarh Institute of Technology, and SSUET attended the seminar, which fostered knowledge exchange on AI-driven healthcare solutions.
