Pakistan’s famous singer Naira Noor passed away last night, she was 72 years old and had been ill for a long time.
Family sources say that Neera Noor’s funeral prayer will be offered at DHA Phase 4 Masjid and Imambargah Yathrab.
She was born in 1950 in Guwahati, Assam.
In 1971 Neera Noor made her singing debut in Pakistan Television’s drama serial, in 1973 she made her singing debut in the films Gharana and Tasneen.
Neera Noor sang ghazals of renowned poet Ghalib, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, performed with Mehdi Hasan and Ahmed Rushdi.
Nayera Noor was honored with Pride of Performance, Nigar and many other awards during her artistic journey in recognition of her artistic services. In 2005, he was awarded the Presidential Medal for Excellence by the Government of Pakistan.
Neyra Noor also warmed the hearts of the audience in the songs and also showed her singing ability in the playback singing.
