PAKISTAN – UAE BUSINESS COUNCIL CHAIRMAN LAUDS THE DECISION OF UAE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE VISIT VISA IN 24 HRS. “The issuance of visit visas by UAE for Pakistanis across the board, from businessmen to investors and students, is a very welcome initiative and credit goes to HE Bakheet A. Al Remeithi UAE CG in Karachi”. This was stated by Mr. Diwan Fakhruddin, Chairman of Pakistan – UAE Business Council, who also stressed that this shall become the bedrock of the bilateral business relationship between Pakistan and UAE. Nothing can stop its growth as the potential – both for imports from UAE and exports from Pakistan – is huge and was at times subject to slowing down due to visa issuance challenges. “The UAE-Pakistan business relationship has a long history and has contributed greatly to the liberalization of trade between the two brotherly nations,” said Mr. Diwan. Pakistani products are facing stiff competition in UAE markets, and thus Pakistani companies have to travel regularly to understand and counter competition and this visa initiative has resulted in ease to reach UAE markets. He said, “By visiting markets regularly in the UAE, we shall enhance our understanding on how best to do business and also, at the same time, spend time on UAE products which can be imported by Pakistan’s business community.” “Dubai is our window to getting into the world and is also a hub for education, tourism and business expos which adds a lot of value,” said Mr Diwan. This simply means that through the ease of visa issuance, a whole new horizon open ups for Pakistani industry and commerce fraternity that can be tapped for growth and to strengthen the bilateral relationship between UAE and Pakistan.
