Pakistan-Malaysia ties received a fresh boost on Friday as Malaysia’s Minister of Home Affairs, Saifuddin Nasution Bin Ismail, met Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
The Malaysian minister arrived with the Malaysian Ambassador to Pakistan and a high-level delegation. During the meeting, both sides discussed regional security developments and matters of mutual interest.
Focus on defence cooperation
Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening defence collaboration and strategic engagement with Malaysia.
The two sides highlighted the longstanding and friendly relationship between Pakistan and Malaysia. They also expressed a shared desire to expand cooperation in areas of common interest.
