He said that the growing trade relations between the two countries is a promise of development and prosperity. Last year, the value of mutual trade between Indonesia and Pakistan was recorded at 4.5 billion dollars, while this year from January to June, it was recorded at 2.2 billion dollars. shows a significant increase in mutual trade.
Kafeel Hussain said that he paid tribute to the services of Consul General Indonesia Dr. Jon Konkoro Hadeningrat because for a long time Dr. Jon has been playing the role of a bridge between the two countries.
He said that there are diplomatic relations between the Republic of Indonesia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan which were established in 1955. According to research, Indonesia has the second largest Muslim population in the world while Pakistan has the largest Muslim population in the world.
Kafeel Hussain said that Pakistan is one of the major importers of palm oil from Indonesia, which reflects about 90 percent share in the Pakistani market. Besides, Pakistan’s imports from Indonesia include coal, textile products and consumer goods, while Indonesia and Pakistan It is planning to import more than 240,000 metric tons of rice, which will further stabilize the country’s economy.
He said that due to the efforts of the two countries, Indonesia-Pakistan trade is rapidly developing, which will start a new era of development in the future.
