Pakistan has Rich culture &  history. No room for extremism and terrorism in our culture Says Sharjeel Inam Memon.

Karachi February 12. Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has  said that Pakistan is a land of great civilization and culture, which  is based on love, peace and brotherhood. There is no room for extremism, terrorism and immorality in our culture. But unfortunately some insane people have tried to distort the real  face of Pakistan  at home and abroad. The minister expressed these views while addressing the closing ceremony of the 3-day art workshop season- II organized by Crescent Art Gallery at Ferrer Hall on Sunday afternoon. As many as 30000 artists across the country attended the 3 – day art workshop .

Provincial Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the real face of Pakistan can be seen today in the lawn of this historical Ferrer Hall, where thousands of young children, girls and older artists are enlightening us with different dimensions of their art and highlighting their wonderful culture of our country.  He said that we are peace loving people. Courtesy, politeness and especially respect for women has been an important part of our culture. He said, “Unfortunately, what is being taught in Pakistan today is that how to troll and abuse someone and target his family  if he/ she  opposes you and does not agree with your stand. He said that all these things that are being promoted  not part of our culture in any way.  He added that some insane people have started this propaganda specially on social media . Sharjeel Inam Memon said that we do not want a new Pakistan, but the real Pakistan, the Pakistan which is depictetd in this art exhibition today.

He urged the media to highlight the real culture of Pakistan and spread the message of love, brotherhood and peace and give wide coverage to this event and artists participating in the art workshop.  The provincial minister appreciated the organizers of the three-day art exhibition 

 who have gathered artists from every region of Pakistan.  He said that the world’s largest painting is being created in this exhibition, which is a great honor for Pakistan.   He said that the Sindh government has always encouraged this type of events and provided all possible support and will continue to  support such endeavors in the future. Addressing the ceremony, Provincial Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that today is an important day that the artists of Pakistan have set a world record together and created the world’s largest painting .

He said that our artists are not less in  abilities to anyone in the world.  He said that the efforts of the organizers of this colorful exhibition are commendable. Various programs were organized in this event, in which not only artists from all over Pakistan participated, but attracted foreigners who  also shown  keen interest in the exhibition . On this occasion, the provincial ministers presented a cheque of Rs.1500000  to Sajid Ali of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and his team for making world’s largest 240 feet long painting. While Qamar, Abdullah Siddiqui, Talib Naqvi, Fateh Haleputo, Sahar Shah Rizvi and other artists got awards for their outstanding performance in the event. Earlier, the provincial ministers visited the artist gallery and inspected the art work made by the artists.  On this occasion, Crescent Art Gallery CEO Nasir Javed, Curator Sidra Javed and Coordinator Miss Farah gave them a detailed briefing.
