Karachi Pakistan: To deal with the challenges faced by the economy, a conference titled Way Forward was held in a local hotel, which was addressed by well-known investors, and political and social figures. Addressing the conference moderated by Farooq Afzal, Arif Habib said that our country has all kinds of resources, but problems are facing due to lack of governance and proper utilization of capabilities and merit. He said that good and bad times come to every country, but if good decisions are made consistently, it will have far-reaching results and the economy can be fixed by it.
Zubair said that the economy can be supported through political stability, but unfortunately, politicians are not allowed to do politics in our country and that is why we are stuck in instability and economically in the country. FPC Former President of CI Zubair Tufail said that it is difficult for everyone to do business at a 23 percent interest rate, it is necessary to take priority and far-reaching decisions for the economy.
The conference was also addressed by legal and economic experts, Asad Shah presented a survey and said that the current interest rate of 23 percent in Asia and the world is very dangerous for running businesses and for the economy. Other speakers said that Presently, electricity surplus circular debt is the biggest problem in Pakistan along with governance issues due to the incompetence and lack of merit of the government officials are licking the economy like termites.
On this occasion, Farooq Afzal said that we are trying to invite experts to give suggestions for the future. If the decision is made well, it can have far-reaching consequences on the economy.
Commander Zakir, Chairman of Commander City also addressed the conference. Senator Nafisa Shah, Mirza Akhtar Baig, former Federal Minister Mian Zahid, Consul General of Oman Engineer Sami Abdullah Al Khanjri, former MN Rehan Hashmi, Zeelf Haris Yasmin, and others from various industries were also present at the conference.
