He said that Pakistan and China have had close and friendly relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1951, under which work is being done for the development of various sectors of life. Kafeel Hussain said bilateral relations have evolved from China’s initial policy of neutrality to a broader partnership based mainly on Pakistan’s strategic importance and the two countries have formally settled all their border disputes with the China-Pakistan Treaty of 1963. After which China’s military aid to Pakistan started in 1966 and was formed in 1972, while economic cooperation had started by 1979.
He said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has the most importance in the Pakistan-China friendship, which is providing countless employment opportunities not only to the youth of Pakistan but also to the youth of China and more roads will be paved in the future. He said that through CPEC, trade will be promoted not only with Pakistan, China but also with other countries, and along with economic relations, diplomatic relations will also be improved, while investment will also be paved.
