Opposition has filed a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Opposition members filed a petition in the Speaker’s Office in Islamabad on Tuesday afternoon. With the no-confidence motion, recusal of the assembly session was also submitted.
Notice was also given to submit motion with recusal. All three papers were received by Additional Secretary Muhammad Mushtaq.
Besides, PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif and former president Asif Ali Zardari will hold a joint press conference on Tuesday at 4.30 pm.
The press conference to be held in Islamabad will announce the situation after the no-confidence motion against the government. The press conference will be held at Margalla Hotel Islamabad.
PML-N and PPP have directed all their parliamentarians to reach Islamabad.
PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif had also directed to bring no-confidence motion in the National Assembly. The parliamentary party had ratified the decision of the PML-N leader.
