The government has made another attempt to persuade allies on the issue of no-confidence motion.
According to sources, a government delegation comprising Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser, Defense Minister Pervez Khattak and Planning Minister Asad Umar has called on the leadership of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan.
The government delegation met at the residence of MQM chief Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui in Parliament Lodges. Aamir Khan and Wasim Akhtar were also present on the occasion.
According to sources, during the talks, the government delegation requested MQM Pakistan not to leave the alliance and said that they will fulfill the promises made, do not leave us alone at this time.
According to sources, the MQM complained during the talks that they have been allies for three and a half years. Tell me which promise was fulfilled? Our offices are still closed and missing persons have not been recovered.
