Showbiz Desk: Filmmaker Leena Manimekalai shared a poster of her new documentary “Kaali” which caused a stir on social media in India.
The poster shows the Hindu goddess “Kaali Mata” smoking a cigarette. The arrest of Leena Manimekalai, who has become a top trend, is being demanded on Twitter.
On this issue, actress, model, and Lok Sabha Trinamool Congress member Nusrat Jahan Ruhii said that religion should not be sold in the name of creativity. She would personally never hurt anyone’s religious sentiments, Nusrat added.
“It’s nice to sit at home and watch this issue. I always support creativity and individuality, but I also think that religious sentiments should not be hurt,” She said.
Nusrat Jahan said that she would never hurt anyone’s religious sentiments, nor would she create anything that contradicted religion.
Back in September 2020, Nusrat Jahan Ruhii posed for a Photoshoot of hers. She dressed in a red and gold saree. She was seen holding a Trishul in one hand and posed for the camera, dressed as Goddess “Durga Mata”. She was heavily criticised by social media users, after which she received death threats for posing as a Hindu deity while being a Muslim.
In December 2021, Nusrat began her marital status relationship with actor & politician Yash Dasgupta. Nusrat Jahan gave birth to a boy at a private hospital in Kolkata on August 2021.
