Attempts by Pakistan Navy to bring state-of-the-art Indian submarine into Pakistani waters have been foiled.
According to Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan Navy’s Anti-Submarine Warfare Unit has detected a modern calorie class submarine.
The DG ISPR said that the Pakistan Navy Anti-Submarine Warfare Unit had intercepted and tracked the Indian submarine of Calvary class on March 1.
According to DG ISPR, this is an important event during the current security environment and the ongoing Pakistan Navy exercise C-SPARC 2022. The Indian submarine came to Pakistan to gather information on reconnaissance and exercises in the Pakistan Maritime Zone.
The Pakistan Navy had applied strict surveillance and vigilance during the exercises. On March 1, the Pakistan Navy’s Anti-Submarine Warfare Unit intercepted and tracked a state-of-the-art Indian Calvary class submarine.
The DG ISPR said that the recent incident was the fourth such incident in the last five years which was foiled by the Pakistan Navy with its professionalism.
The DG ISPR said that this reflected the capability of Pakistan Navy and its commitment to defend Pakistan’s maritime borders.
