Gujranwala (21st August 2024) Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) successfully
organized National Exporters Training Program (NETP) in Gujranwala on 21st August
2024 for the manufacturers/producers/exporters/traders/service providers of
Cutlery, Cookware, Fan, Aluminum Ingots, Furniture, Rice, General and IT Services.
The training session were attended by different members of Gujranwala Chamber of
Commerce & Industry (GCCI), and Associations in Gujranwala, Wazirabad and
Hafizabad. Mr. Fida Hussain, GSP Officer TDAP Gujranwala welcomed the guests
and participants. Whereas, Mr. Irfan Sohail, Senior Vice President (GCCI) welcomed
all the guests, participants and organizer of the training session.
The training session were held as hybrid event i.e. an online and physical
mode. Mr. Syed Abbas Mehdi, Executive Director Export Development Fund (ED
EDF) delivered a brief and concise lecture on the History, Introduction, Functions and
available opportunities to the exporters from the EDF. He further elaborated the
financing of different projects and TDAP Annual Business Plan activities.
Ms. Afshan Uroos, Deputy Manager, TDAP trainer presented four
distinct modules (Export Research, Documentation, Financing and Marketing). She
further briefed about E-Commerce platforms launched by TDAP and said these
Platforms would help prospective exporters in converting an export inquiry into
actual exports. Moreover, Mr. Rashid Cheema, trainer of State Bank of Pakistan
presented different loan schemes for exporters and addresses queries of the
participants.
Mr. Adil Mukhtar, Assistant Director, TDAP explained in details about
the E-Commerce and Amazon. He explained in details about Amazon, working,
selling procedure, payments redemption, and other different online platforms. In the
end, Muhammad Asim Awan, Deputy Collector and Domain Officer Pakistan Single
Window (PSW) delivered a brief presentation about the system. He explained the
benefits of PSW.
The training session was attended by more than 65 Potential
manufacturers/exporters/producers/service providers of Gujranawla, Wazirabad
and Hafizabad to take benefits from the most demanded training sessions on export
mechanism. The potential exporters of Cutlery, Cookware, Fan, Aluminum Ingots,
Furniture, Rice, General and IT Services have shown keen interest in the trainings to
learn export processes in order to materialize their trade potential.
Mr. Zia ul Haq (Sheikh Faisal Ayub) President GCCI concluded the session
by presenting shield to Ms. Afshan Uroos, DM TDAP Karachi. Both officers also
distributed participation certificates among participants. program concluded with a
vote of thanks.
