Islamabad: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday has reopened the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) case against former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and decided to summon him for investigation.
NAB is also intended to summon other former officials of Petroleum Ministry and asked relevant departments to submit the record of the case.
It is pertinent here to mention that NAB had blamed two former prime ministers Nawaz Sharif and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for alleged misuse of authorities by giving a contract of LNG terminal to 15 different companies of their choice.
NAB had taken the action just a week after the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government completed its five-year term and handed over the reins of power to the caretaker set-up.
