The Election Commission says that the NA 245 Karachi by-election will now be held on August 21, 2022.
The by-election in NA-245 Karachi was scheduled on July 27.
The Election Commission says that the decision has been taken on the basis of the Provincial Election Commissioner, the requests of the public and the report of the Meteorological Department.
According to the Election Commission, the decision has been taken for the convenience of voters, candidates and the improvement of administrative affairs.
It should be noted that this seat was vacant due to the death of Aamir Liaquat, who passed away on June 9 this year in Karachi.
MQM, PTI, PSP, and other parties had also submitted their nomination papers on the seat of NA 245, while Farooq Sattar had decided to contest the election as an independent candidate on this seat. .
