KARACHI – The Mustafa Amir murder case has taken a shocking turn as investigators have revealed a deep connection to Karachi’s illicit drug trade. Sahir Hasan, son of veteran actor Sajid Hasan, has allegedly been involved in drug trafficking and financial crimes, according to law enforcement agencies.
Authorities have uncovered that Sahir, along with Mustafa and another suspect, was operating a major drug network. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has now joined the investigation, focusing on money laundering and cybercrime. Investigators suspect links to an international drug syndicate.
Key Findings in the Case:
Use of Dark Web & Couriers: Drugs were reportedly ordered via the dark web from Islamabad and transported to Karachi using courier services.
Illegal Financial Transactions: Sahir allegedly used his father’s manager’s bank account to process payments for large-scale drug transactions.
High-Value Drug Trade: Sahir reportedly spent Rs. 5 lakh per week on cannabis purchases and sold it at Rs. 10,000 per gram, distributing over 1,200 grams monthly.
Connections to Deceased Suspects: Mustafa Amir (the victim) and Usman Swati (who died in an accident) were allegedly part of the same drug trade.
Authorities have also secured Sahir Hasan’s call records and social media communications to uncover further evidence. The court has extended his custody by one day, and he is set to reappear before the court on Tuesday.
With an ongoing probe into money laundering, drug trafficking, and possible links to organized crime, the case is expected to reveal even deeper criminal connections in Karachi’s underworld.
