The MQM’s negotiating committee has handed over the draft of the Local Government Amendment Act to the PPP. Progress has been made in the agreement reached between the MQM and the PPP.
According to sources, the MQM’s negotiating committee has handed over the draft of the Local Government Amendment Act to the PPP. The draft consists of 150 pages and has been prepared in accordance with Article 140A of the Supreme Court decision.
The draft sent to the PPP by the MQM also includes a clause to subordinate all local bodies, authorities, Sindh Solid Waste Board, Water Board and other institutions to the mayor.
