Pakistan Western Canada Trade Association (PWCTA) and Chiniot Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( CCCI) have signed an MOU for the promotion of bilateral trade and economic relations and to facilitate their members in expansion of their networking.
The MOU was signed by Bushra Rehman, President PWCTA and Danish Naeem Fakhari, President CCCI and witnessed by prominent leaders and members of the United Business Group (UBG) including Chief Petron UBG SM Muneer, President UBG Zubair Tufail, Shahzad Ali Malik, Malik Sohail Husain Secretary General PWCTA, Abdul Rauf Mukhtar, Manzoor Malik, Aliya Khan, and others Businessman attended the event.

While speaking on the occasion S M Muneer highlighted the importance of potential market of Canada which need to be explored by aggressive marketing of Pakistani products which is possible by organising single country exhibitions on reciprocal basis. He said that the last three Pakistan single country exhibitions in Toronto have significantly enhanced the Pakistan export to Canada.
Zubair Tufail also spoke on the occasion and emphasised on the need of aggressive interaction between the business community of both the countries to explore the hitherto hidden areas of trade.
Canada is Pakistan’s 23rd largest export partner and 38th largest import partner, he added.
Shahzad Ali Malik said though Pakistan Canada have been enjoying exceptional friendly relations but the volume of trade between both the countries is not to the desirable extent. He said that Canada is a potential market for textile products, rice, spices, recipes etc.
Bushra Rehman assured the members that under agreement her organisation will provide all sort of assistance and support to Pakistan’s entrepreneurs to have strong footing.
Danish Naeem Fakhari also announced that his chamber soon under necessary preparations for formation of trade delegation to Canada.
