Meta Chief, Mark Zuckerberg, has announced a new tool for the WhatsApp app which is designed to allow users to better organize their interactions, akin to an autodialler. One of the features included in the latest beta updates is the ‘favorite’ filter that lets the users sort and prioritize specific chats, groups, and calls within the messaging platform, according to WABetaInfo.
The Facebook founder Zuckerberg, a 40-year-old technology entrepreneur, announced the feature through his official WhatsApp account. This comes after recent statements regarding artificial intelligence-powered business solutions and Meta Verified for WA.
Using the “favorite” filter, one can quickly locate and navigate the most important and relevant conversations like individual chats or groups of people. Likewise, within the calls tab, a user can directly dial the contact he wishes for with a single touch to facilitate the calls.
Adding Favorites: To save certain chats and groups as favorites, the user can go to the “Favorites” tab in the list under chats.
Direct Designation: Contacts and groups can also be marked as a favorite from the ‘Chat info ‘option or the ‘calls ‘tab.
Management: The list of favorite places is also presented in the application settings section where the user can modify the list by adding or removing items.
This feature is available for Android user and iOS users and thus the user experience has been improved since they can effectively sort through their messages.
For instance, Meta’s edition of the ‘favorite’ filter underlines its continued efforts at providing better experiences in all its apps. With the ability to mark individuals as ‘Favorites’ and ‘Groups,’ users of WhatsApp can anticipate receiving an orderly and simplified messaging system.
With Meta’s advancements towards new and updated features of its application, it is envisioned that users will find further improvements for their engagement within WhatsApp and other Meta applications.
