The meeting started with discussion of K electric and other affected party. The little kid had his hands affected due to K electric’s fault. The affected party wanted fair treatment of his son and wanted prosthetic arm for the kid so that he can lead his normal life. As per the agreement K electric agreed to pay for all expenses if the prosthetic arm can be made available in Pakistan.
Due to sub-committee’s insistence K electric agreed to make the deal with the affected child’s family. Further the decision will be finalized in the next meeting to be held in the coming weeks.
Finally, they agreed that K electric will pay Rs15 milliom and Government of Sindh will pay Rs10 million in a fund as bionic arm costs $100,000 nowadays. Further, the fund will be comprising of both monetary amounts should be invested in profitable fund so that it is inflation adjusted as well. This is because when the arm stops growing as the kid becomes an adult in 10 years time, then bionic arm can be given to the kid as dollar is likely to appreciate further in future.
