Showbiz Desk: Famous actress of Indian film industry Mallika Sherawat has said that women are questioned on bold scenes in films while male actors are not asked anything.
In one of her recent interviews, Mallika opened up about being targetted for such scenes and how the times and society have changed. Mallika Sherawat highlighted the media’s attitude towards her bold scenes. She said that women are questioned on bold scenes in films while male actors are not asked anything.
Mallika Sherawat said that the scenes on which anything is said about women are done by male actors without any criticism and they do not have any questions or answers.
“Women are always targeted here instead of men. It’s not just in India but all over the world. I don’t know why it’s all over in India” she said.
Famous actress Mallika also said, men walk away with everything, they can get away with everything, it’s like they (those who target) blame the woman for everything. I don’t know why, but more so in India, I feel. I also think the society wasn’t evolved, people would think differently. Plus, the media didn’t support such scenes earlier, a certain section of the media.
