Karachi, April 20, 2026 — The Magnum Ice Cream Company has appointed Mert Turgut as General Manager for Pakistan, strengthening its leadership structure in one of its key growth markets. The appointment is part of the company’s broader global transformation strategy aimed at boosting competitiveness, improving operational efficiency, and accelerating brand investment.

Mert Turgut brings over 15 years of experience in the fast-moving consumer goods and ice cream sector, having held senior roles across multiple international markets including Turkey, Morocco, and Pakistan. His previous tenure in Pakistan included leading a major transformation of the Wall’s ice cream business, contributing to stronger market performance and distribution growth.

Since assuming his current role earlier this year, Turgut has focused on improving execution across the supply chain, enhancing distribution networks, and aligning product strategies with evolving consumer behavior in Pakistan. The company aims to strengthen its presence across both traditional retail and emerging convenience-based consumption channels.

Speaking on his appointment, Turgut said Pakistan holds significant potential due to its scale and consumer base, adding that the company is committed to delivering innovative and accessible ice cream experiences tailored to local demand.

Moving forward, The Magnum Ice Cream Company plans to expand category growth by increasing availability in urban and rural markets, strengthening brand visibility, and targeting both daily consumption and impulse purchase occasions. The strategy also includes continued investment in product innovation and freezer infrastructure nationwide.

The company’s portfolio in Pakistan includes global brands such as Magnum, Wall’s, and Cornetto, alongside local products like Jet Sport and Choc Bar. It emphasized its commitment to quality, innovation, and long-term market development.

With this leadership transition, the company is expected to further consolidate its position in Pakistan’s growing frozen desserts industry, which continues to see rising demand driven by changing consumer lifestyles and retail expansion.
