Karachi : The term (BRT) stands for Karachi Bus Rapid Transit is a project by the Sindh government that was
initially inaugurated in the year 2016 to make everyday traveling easy for the locals . The BRT is a mix of
all the other lines such as red line, green line, orange line aimed to connect various parts of the cities. The
Brt project was supposed to be completed by the year 2017, however, due to various delays in
constructions and fundings, the project is still unfinished.
The green line (BRT) is considered to be a complete flop by the Sindh government as instead of making
people’s life easy the government has managed to make people more frustrated. With numerous road
diversions, prolonged road closures and construction hazards. The much-hyped green line (BRT) designed
to be environmentally friendly has only seen a little progress in such years. The whole project is a disaster
as it is funded internationally and there is literally nothing to show on ground making it raise concerns
over the performance of the Sindh government. The Sindh government’s inability to manage the project
has led to skepticism about the future projects and highlights all their past failures.
