KARACHI : LADIESFUND, Pakistan’s leading women-focused platform, in collaboration with Chughtai Healthcare, hosted “LADIESFUND Breast Cancer Heart-to-Heart,” an exclusive women-only Breast Cancer Awareness Talk and Mammogram Screening Session on education, empowerment, and the life-saving importance of early detection.
Held at the Chughtai Lab Auditorium the impactful session brought together nearly 200 women, creating a safe, powerful, and supportive space for learning, shared experiences, and open dialogue. The initiative was organized under UMEED by LADIESFUND, LADIESFUND’s breast cancer awareness and support platform, with collaboration from Dawood Global Foundation.
The event featured interactive sessions and impactful speeches by Tara Uzra Dawood, Orda Arif, Amna Ilyas, breast cancer survivors Sima Kamil, Fauzia Khuhro, Javeria Khuhro, and Samina Aslam, healthcare expert Dr. Rahila Usman, as well as Hena Sadiq, Saima Farooq from Allied Bank, and Farah Asim and Erum Asad from Faysal Bank. Speakers shared deeply personal journeys, professional insights, and messages of courage, resilience, and proactive healthcare.  Spotted at the event were several LADIESFUND winners and entrepreneurs including Azra Mohyeddin, Humaira Saleem, Dania Habib, Naila Bawany, Erum Asghar Habib, Manizhe Ali, Saadia Habib, among others.  Senior women professionals from leading corporates such as PSO, PRL, National Refinery, Euronet, Faysal Bank, and Allied Bank were also in attendance.
A defining feature of the event was the real-time mammogram screenings taking place downstairs at Chughtai Lab during the session. Women attended their mammograms and returned to the auditorium to share their experiences live on stage, breaking stigma, easing fears, and encouraging others to take immediate action toward early detection.
As part of the initiative, LADIESFUND and Chughtai Lab jointly distributed 200 complimentary mammogram vouchers, ensuring that every attendee received a free mammogram using Chughtai Lab’s state-of-the-art screening equipment. Each participant also received a special appreciation gift bag, reinforcing LADIESFUND’s commitment to accessible and preventive healthcare for women.
The session took place from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, including lunch, and was conducted on a strict guest-list basis to maintain privacy, comfort, and a trusted environment for candid conversation.
“We are transforming the baby pink of breast cancer into the magnetic pink of LADIESFUND as we infuse agency and women empowerment into the cause, motivating and inspiring women to choose early detections, self-love, care for their bodies and lives and get a mammogram. Almost 200 woman of LADIESFUND attended this event and each got a free mammogram of state of the art equipment at Chughtai Labs.” ~ Said, Tara Uzra Dawood
“It was an incredible breast cancer awareness session hosted at Chughtai Lab in collaboration with the remarkable organization LADIESFUND. The presence of breast cancer survivors alongside so many inspiring women made the session deeply meaningful. Too often, women discover health concerns at a very late stage, and initiatives like this play a vital role in encouraging early detection. I am truly proud that Chughtai Lab had the opportunity to host such an impactful and important session.” ~ Said, Orda Arif
“As a breast cancer survivor, being part of LADIESFUND’s ‘Breast Cancer Heart-to-Heart’ was deeply empowering. This initiative goes beyond awareness — it creates courage, clarity, and action. Watching women take real-time mammograms and openly share their experiences was incredibly moving. Events like this save lives by encouraging women to choose early detection, self-care, and hope. I truly applaud LADIESFUND and Chughtai Lab for creating such a meaningful and impactful platform.” ~ Said, Sima Kamil
Shayma Saiyid, attendee, said, “Thank you, LADIESFUND, for a fantastic morning! The session was so well-organized, and the speakers were inspiring—especially the reminder for women to stop putting their health second.”
A central message of the event was redefining breast cancer awareness — transforming the traditional baby pink into LADIESFUND’s bold, magnetic pink, symbolizing agency, empowerment, and action. The initiative encouraged women to practice self-love, prioritize their health, and confidently choose early screening and mammograms.
The event was supported by Resource as the Giveaway Partner, with Depilex by Nighat Misbah as the Beauty Partner.
Through initiatives such as “Breast Cancer Heart-to-Heart,” LADIESFUND continues to lead impactful conversations around women’s health, champion early detection, and foster meaningful collaborations with healthcare institutions, corporates, and partners to create lasting change.
