Karachi (02 May 2023) Karachi Vocational Training Center (KVTC) CEO Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan has said that 6 students of KVTC will represent Pakistan in the 19th Japan WATA Open International Taekwondo Championship from 25 countries including India. After defeating the athletes and getting 5 gold medals and one brown medal, they arrived from Japan, which is a symbol of honor not only for Sindh but for Pakistan.
Seeing our struggle and hard work, the Chief Minister of Sindh announced to give a building with 80 rooms on 2 acres area in Sarjani Town. We will complete the decoration of this building in a short time and train the best teachers here so that they can help us in empowering differently-abled people through education, vocational skills, and sports. He expressed these views on Tuesday with Dr. Farhan Essa Abdullah, Dr. Akhtar Aziz, Qaiser Alam, Sana Ayaz, Grand Master Najam, Team Leader Aamir Shahab, Farheen Aamir and parents of the students in a press conference at KVTC.
A warm welcome was also given. Abdul Huseeb Khan said that earlier the government was asleep and the society was also apathetic. Still, now for the first time in 5 years we have seen work for differently abled people at the federal and provincial levels, especially the Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah. All institutes, including KVTC, have paid attention and are working with us for the better development of differently abled people. He said that the children of our center are not only at the top in Khula and education, but world-class handicrafts, producing garments and other products, we will soon establish a KVTC in Dubai where our children can produce items with their own hands and present them to the world.
Dr. Farhan Essa, joint secretary of the center, told the media. That KVTC has won 2500 medals in various events and because of this organization Pakistan has got happiness I am sure that because of these innocent children, the fate of our country will change. He said that soon we will KVTC will organize a major sports event called the Olympics.
Farhan Essa further said that KVTC as a non-profit vocational training institute that empowers differently-abled people through education, vocational skills and sports. KVTC President Dr. Akhtar Aziz said that under your help, we will prepare the children for the world class. Vice President Qaiser Alam said that KVTC is a different world because my son is also here, I have been associated with this organization for 12 years and won 6 medals in competitions held in Japan. It is not an ordinary effort but the result of a long struggle. Grandmaster Najam said that he will soon organize the first Taekwondo Championship in Dubai with the support of KVTC.
Aamir Shahab said that when the green crescent flag of Pakistan was hoisted in Japan, our heads were raised with pride, while Japan the Pakistani Ambassador at the Pakistani Embassy, Raza Tarar, also conducted a ceremony in honor of our students and gave certificates of appreciation. Aamir Shahab said that three students of KVTC are preparing to go to Berlin (Germany) to participate in the World Games.
