Administrative Reforms are essential to meeting Pakistan’s growing population and evolving urban needs, according to Muhammad Minhaj Gulfam, President of the Karachi Mobile and Electronics Dealers Association (KMEDA). In a statement, he stressed that strengthening administrative structures and improving governance would help deliver better public services and accelerate national development.

He said any decision to establish new administrative units or implement governance reforms should remain based on merit, transparency and the broader public interest to ensure long-term institutional effectiveness.
Improving access to essential services
Minhaj Gulfam said stronger administrative systems could significantly improve citizens’ access to education, healthcare, law enforcement and other essential government services. He added that efficient governance would also support the timely implementation of development projects, create employment opportunities and enable quicker resolution of local issues.
According to him, well-planned administrative reforms can help public institutions respond more effectively to the needs of communities while promoting balanced regional development.
Call for transparent governance
The KMEDA president emphasised that effective governance remains the foundation of a stable and prosperous Pakistan. He expressed hope that all future administrative decisions would prioritise national interests, public welfare and sustainable development.
He also urged policymakers to ensure that governance reforms strengthen institutional capacity and improve service delivery across the country.

Minhaj Gulfam called on citizens to contribute positively to Pakistan’s progress by promoting national unity, constructive dialogue and practical ideas that support economic growth and social development.
