KARACHI: Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) Patron-in-Chief SM Muneer and President Faraz-ur-Rehman expressed deep sorrow and regret on the attempt to murder the former Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan, resulting in the martyrdom of a worker.
SM Muneer said that firing on Imran Khan and as result one person was dead and many injured is condemnable. He said that there is no place for violence and terror in our society. The business community of the country and the brave people of Pakistan are united against any conspiracy that disturbs the peace and stability of Pakistan, the country’s integrity and its development process.
KATI President Faraz-ur-Rehman termed the murderous attack on the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan in the long march of Tehreek-e-Insaf as unfortunate and said that all kinds of violence, extremism and terrorism in Pakistan are not acceptable. He said that anti-national elements do not want peace and order to be established in Pakistan and stability in the country.
Faraz-ur-Rehman demanded the federal and provincial governments form a high-level JIT to investigate the incident, in which the Counter-Terrorism Department should also be included so that the motives of the incident can be examined and the accused involved should be arrested and brought to justice. President KATI also expressed his condolences to the family of the worker killed in the attack on Tehreek-e-Insaf rally and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
