President KATI said that seminars and information dissemination can control Thalassemia awareness, and awareness is also necessary for blood donations. He said that there are currently around 1 million thalassemia patients in Pakistan whose lives depend on the availability of blood. He said that screening for Thalassemia should also be conducted in the Korangi area, and KATI will continue to take steps for the treatment of patients and blood donations. He said that a healthy society is an emblem of a prosperous country, which is why KATI is determined to eradicate diseases like Thalassemia from Pakistan.

Faraz-ur-Rehman said that we will give our coming generation a healthy and happy future. Therefore, there is a need to create awareness that a normal test before marriage can give a healthy future to the new generation, and those who are affected by this disease can help lead a happy life like ordinary citizens.  President KATI also called on the government to launch a campaign to prevent Thalassemia in the country in collaboration with private sectors like the polio campaign.
