Karachi: District Governor 3271 Prof Dr Farhan Essa Abdullah and Rotary Club Karachi New Central held a grand fellowship event here at Karachi Race Course, Malir earlier today. Commemorating Kashmir Day which was on February 5, the event which featured horse-racing, an exciting sport that has received very little media coverage in Pakistan was titled Kashmir Day Cup 2021.
On the Occasion of Kashmir Day Cup 2021 Former Chief Minister of Balochistan Dr. Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Barozai, Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus Executive Secretary Rtn. Aslam Khaliq, Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus President Rtn. Kausar Asalm, Tara Uzra Dawood President LADIESFUND, Hameed Bhutto Chairman Pakistan Excellence Club, Hakim Narejo President Rotary Club of Sindh Valley, Shanaz Ramzi CEO StarLinks PR & Events, Salman A. Siddiqui Deputy General Manager Corporate Communication and CSR SSGC, Shakeel Dhingra FPCCI, Rana M Jahangir Member Bahawalpur Chamber Of Commerce & Industry, Farooq Dadi Owner Unimax Impex are present.
Invitees largely comprising Rotarians and their friends and family, and social, print, and electronic media enjoyed a fun day at the racecourse. The event took off with speeches by president Rotary Club Karachi New Central, Alia Hasan followed by DG 3271 Prof Dr Farhan Essa Abdullah, who highlighted the importance of promoting this sport in Karachi, which provides wholesome entertainment in the fresh air and could also draw tourists, like anywhere else in the world.
After a sumptuous traditional brunch, the horse-racing began which was enjoyed by one and all.
